Didn't "Rice-A-Roni" (the SanFrancisco Treat) use this towards the end of their commercial days, too ?

I remember a longer version. Don't watch this, Lawren! Save yourself!
I just realized this calls for the puking icon for TWO reasons!

You mean...they strayed from the path of "Rice-a-Roni! The San Francisco Treat!"?

          You are all EVIL!

Blood is oozing out of my ears. Zepplin, Jimi and various others selling out.

I didn't realize that growing old and having these artists on muzak and commercials would hurt so much.

Oh, please. The Stones selling "Start Me Up" was pretty much the last word in selling out to me. Although I have a friend who was more upset about Bob Dylan at Foxwoods.....

Heard Dylan is playing local in August around here. My Dad <RIP> loved him and I can't listen to this one without thinking of him:YouTube - Bob Dylan - Mr. Tambourine Man

Yeah like the STONES need commercial money.

Really? I would love to see Dylan! (When he was at Foxwoods, I was trying to convince that friend to go with me, but she refused.) Let me know when you hear anything....

Hearing the bands of your youth as elevator Muzak is clearly the death of a thousand cuts.

However, I TiVo, so I don't watch commercials. It is remarkably pleasant.

Oh, darn. I'll be in Toronto. I'll probably catch Bob when he's about 92 years old. He'll have sold "Mr. Tambourine Man" to Sunkist to use as "Mr. Tangerine Man" by then, of course.

                              The Jeep Commercial

I really like that Andy Kim song with the wolf eating the bird.

I was traumatized, many many years ago, when "Morning" from Peer Gynt was used for a commercial for Geritol or something similar. (Of course, it didn't help when it was used as the euthanasia song in Solent Green, either.) Since then, I have come to accept that nothing is sacred, and the pain has gradually diminished.

So, how much of this is Michael Jackson's fault? (Back in the 1990s, he bought the copyrights to the Beatles's catalog, and after having an argument with Paul McCartney, decided to license them for use in commercials as much as he could.)

Steve, where did you get that puking icon from? How do we add extra icons here?
