Scott not sure if you heard but the used my house near the end of the Sopranos.
Also all around my area many big mafia movies even with Robert De niro were filmed here. In fact if you recall the bar scenes in GoodFellas that was filmed on Grand Ave by the old no longer there Spartans restaurant.

Two I can think of right off the bat that were filmed in my town, or very, very close:

ET: the housing development was supposedly one that is up in the hills where I live.

Mrs. Doubtfire: the screen in Bridges Restaurant. Bridges is a real restaurant and was closed down for several months (staff was given full pay) while the movie was shooting. Some of the staff were in some the scenes and had some input on the stars. Said Robin Williams was "on" all the time, and Sally Fields usually was off to the side with her knitting.

Frank, I was walking along the beach in Ft Lauderdale in april and an actor walks by us with his wife. I knew he was in some of our favorite movies but didn't know his name. Silvered hair guy who batted Joe Pesci to death in Good Fellas. I think his first name was Frank. He is in alot of movies.

Before the Devil knows your Dead, The Eraser

2 summers ago, in the Dog days of August the film "Before the Devil knows your dead" was filmed near my home in the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. The holdup scene was a vacant store at the time, and is now a GAME STOP store. Also "The Eraser" with Arnold Swarteneger, and Vannessa Williams was filmed in Whitestone. Then there was 8mm with James Gandolfini filmed in Fresh Meadows around the year 2000.

Spider Man in 2004 was filmed around Madison Square Park where I used to work.

CSI Miami is filmed at our marina constantly and also movies too but I don't know what they are. I have a photo of me in front of the jeep. The stars were already gone. I can't remember if the jeep was green or yellow as I never watch the show.

Everyone must have recognized him from the sopranos because crowds of people stopped him to take pictures of him. Some even brought their kids and babies over.

Immagine taking pictures with a tough guy.

I had the pleasure of shaking his hand but did not take a picture.

HBO: Phil Leotardo, played by Frank Vincent: The Sopranos

They are filming a lot of movies in CT now and just a couple of weeks ago I noticed a bunch of trucks in nearby Norfolk, CT where they were filming. I believe part of the new Indiana Jones film was filmed in New Haven, CT. Some are now calling the state Hollywood East. There are also a lot of stars that live in the northwest corner of the state, so you never know when you will spot one.
