Debi, this is such a sad event, and it is a shame that the kids had to witness such a tragedy. I know what you mean when you say you are "beyond sad." I am so sorry for your family's loss.

Cypress Harbour is truly our favorite resort outside of the DVC resorts because the staff is really wonderful.

Vacations aren't supposed to be sad.

So sorry to hear of your bil's death. At least his final days and moments were with his family. Hope the kids handle it ok. Condolences to the whole family. That's great that the resort was so helpful and sympathetic.

Thanks so much to all. He was only 46. I cannot believe my sister is a widow at her age. They both buried a 13 day old daughter too many years ago. I wonder how much sadness anyone can really handle. We had to go to Magic Kingdom today for my 4 year old. It's hard to have fun -- but for her, we have to go through the motions. I haven't even told her that he's gone. With so many family members moving between rooms all the time, it's easy to miss a person or two. But, as a few of you have pointed out....it's good that we're all together. She has us. If it would've happened at her place, she'd have no family there.
