Isn't it strange that a physical problem that has no relation to smoking is now creating non smokers? Congrats and continued success to all of you.

I was just talking to Jeri yesterday and we are both surprised we aren't having more difficulty with this. Of course ask again when my lifestyle goes back to normal and I'm in situations where I would normally smoke <like you will be tomorow>.

I'm finding that I am getting very good at giving up things. The first 3 days are the hardest and after that it just keeps getting easier.

I flew today into San Diego and the first thing I thought of was "going to have a cigarette when I get off!" This is the first time I have flown since everything happened. I guess I have to get through all the firsts...Once through those, I think I will be okay!
Except...my mom moved back in after having her knee done ( she was staying at my sisters to recoup) She stated she has absolutely no intention to stop smoking. So I guess she will stay on her own deck. I already emptied an ashtray of about 10 cigs on my deck!!!

My incident did have something to do with smoking, at least partly. The reason I think it came fairly easily for me was because I wanted to quit anyway...It's expensive and stinks and no good for your health.

You can do it! If you've gone this long, the flight thing is not bad once you're there at the airport. The thoughts before we landed were the ones that were making me anxious!!

I don't know how I'll do it either, but I am determined this time. The last time I tried quitting with Zyban a few years ago, she used to buy me cartons ....I won't let it happen this time. I'll go inside like I did the other day.
