When I see something I like, I often order it from a catalog rather than chasing around town looking for it. Along the way I've noticed that some of the catalogs I receive in the mail have "deals" with codes on the cover. A clothes catalog might have 20% off, 25% off, buy one, get one 50% off, free shipping, free shipping with X-dollar purchase, etc. A gadget catalog might have half price sales, 20% off everything sales, free shipping with X-dollars, free shipping with any purchase, etc.
Its difficult, if not impossible, to remember all these deals. So whenever I purchase something online from a major company I always google "company name coupon code." Like today I purchased about $12. worth of Avon on sale. I googled "Avon coupon code" and came up with free shipping with $15. I persisted, and two links later I had free shipping with *any order*. I found free shipping on a Current, inc. order two weeks ago as well. I buy my ink from Staples, and they charge no shipping with a $50. purchase, which I can generally do for ink.
It only takes a minute or two extra to get free or discounted shipping or percentages off on your purchases.
