  • Topic for a boring day

    So here's the deal...

It's a slowdown day after a holiday. I'm enjoying an afternoon cocktail (Long Island Iced Tea) and pretty much doing much of nothing after a busy week. Yesterday, the roll of toilet paper in the main bathroom was getting low and, company expected soon, I placed a new roll on the counter for the easy convenience of whoever occupied the room when the roll on the dispenser expired. Now today, a fresh roll is in place. It unwinds from the backside and I am annoyed. So I make a comment to Hubby and he denies responsibility. A guest must have replaced the roll.

So, what's your preferrence...unwind from the back or from the front? Hotels seem to go the front route. I agree. What say you?

Anyone who puts it unwinding from the back doesn't know squat about toilet paper.

It makes no difference to me but while visiting someone's house I always turn it opposite from which I found it.

From the front. Hotels like it so they can make it look nice by folding it under at the points. It always looks so fancy and especially when they fold the towels too in a nice way. We would never spoil ourselves like that.

You know, Bing, that doesn't surprise me.

Front....and I will turn it around if anyone else turns it the other way..IN MY HOUSE. I would never switch it around if I'm visiting someone.

I knew you were the culprit! Julie when did you invite Bing???

DH always puts it the wrong way...I guess he doesn't know squat or just doesn't care.

I like it to the front.

Wish I had something alcoholic. I haven't had a drink in over 2 weeks.

                  Front per wife

Her reasoning is if it is in the back she can break her nails on the wall. Me, I have no nails and could care less except then I would have to deal with her being upset. In that regard toilet paper becomes a big deal.

I'm so sorry. Those painkillers just don't hold a candle to a well made Long Island Iced Tea! I'll make you one of mine next 4th of July!

Ok, here's the deal. Its gotta be front, specially if you have kids, cause if you yank the bottom sheet and it is facing the back, you'll pull half a roll out. It won't stop, and you'll end up with tons of wasted paper on the floor (course the kids will love that!). If it is facing front that won't happen, your paper will only pull out as far as your arm's reach.

Now that that's settled, how do you get guests to use your guest towels?

I have mine from the back, but hey, as long as there's some there, that's what matters!! shaggy
