Being alone this summer has proved my theory about my DW and DD and toilet paper. When DW and DD are here, a roll lasts about 5 hours. When I am alone, the same roll lasts 5 days.

If it is facing front that won't happen, your paper will only pull out as far as your arm's reach.

Now that that's settled, how do you get guests to use your guest towels?

I only have a half bath that compant uses, so I don't have a problem with them using guest towels. But, therre have been times when I have had greater than 100 people at the house, so they have used a couple of bathrooms. In that case, I have put out the disposable towels in the bathrooms...You know that ones that look like pretty paper towels....something like this....it worked well.

        Front.

I had (notice the past tense) a friend who used to change the toilet paper in my house from front to back when she'd come over.

This is a big pet peeve of mine. It's Front. We often have TP replacement 101 classes here at my house...the kids always just put the roll up on the empty dispenser. They know how I like it-so when we have "class" and they replace it in front of me-they put it backwards just to P*** me off!

Ya know..... I never knew so much thought went into a roll of toilet paper. What have we got ourselves into.

There are just the 2 of us. MY TP is always the way I want it. DH apparently doesn't know how to put up a new roll . He just leaves it on the counter top. So when I hang it, I hang it the way I want. Front.

                  Front by All Means

I always put it to the front, while Rita inevitably puts it to the rear, necessitating my changing it.

Hopfully we didn't get ourselves into it or we better change directions.

The cats like it in the front so they can pull the entire roll off in the floor when I am away. Think I should close the door ?

It's amazing the things you can learn at timesharing forums. Prior to this thread I never knew it made a difference whether you started at the front or the back of the Sears catalog!!! I guess I should have known you could set us straight on that one, Melvin.
