I have a big, old-fashioned ice cream maker (the kind that uses ice and salt), and we want to make vanilla ice cream. Does anyone have a good, reliable, not-killingly-rich recipe?
We like Breyer's ice cream better than Haagen-Dazs; we're looking for that lighter ice-milk kind of texture, not the eggy-custardy ultra-smooth ice cream.
