  • The Mail Came...And then...

I buy things over the internet a lot, mainly because it is easier to get exactly what I need without chasing all over town. Yesterday it all came at once...it was very embarrassing, but that's only half the story, as you will see below. What I picked up at my mail stop yesterday included:
    • A cooler with dry ice and three pieces of frozen food for a product trial.
    • A pair of Clarks Sunburst Sandals from HSN
    • A purple blouse (for red hats) on sale at Women Within
    • Medicine from Medco
    • Books from Harlequin (on sale, $1.99 each)
    • An Ice Tea Maker (can't find them locally this time of year, so bought online with no shipping charge)
    • A sample of Multi Grain Cheerios from Walmart
    • Four magazines for me, and two for Jerry
    • Two Bills
    • Assorted junk mail
It was truly a banner day. I handed Jerry my mail bag/tote (yes, I take a large tote so I don't have to carry it mostly) and went to put down my purse and some boxes. I came back and he was sorting and opening the mail. I threw away the junk, opened the rest, and put it where it belonged.

A couple hours later, Jerry is watching TV and I'm in the next room at the computer. I hear a crunching of paper wrapper. I think, "now it couldn't be the pretzels, the package wasn't near empty. So I say, " Whatcha' eating?" He replies, "Those multi grain Cheerios sure were good!" Guess who hid what from me They disappeared before I sorted the mail...
