  • Chat room

The chat room is again open for a Sunday night chat. Despite the efforts to get a regular chat going, there are only a very few who seem to be interested. Also, we have had no topical chats in quite some time. I'm beginning to think that maybe we should do away with the chat room if it still costs us an annual fee to operate it.

One special topic-such as Cancun, TPI, Sedona, etc.

        A suggestion here

Can't you do this in a free chat room with instant message? I remember doing this quite often with another forum I belonged to. We used AOL or Yahoo. I can't remember now but you invite each other to join in the room. It worked great with not too many people. We had as many as 10 or so. You only have the chat when you want to but no yearly fees or any fees.

This all may have changed since I am talking about a few years ago. Does anyone know?

            Chat on Sunday

I like the idea of a topical chat that is advertised so people know ahead of time when things will be discussed. I would join the Chat Room for info from people that have been to places of interest to me. I would also enter to offer info on places I have been. Is the Chat Room fee expensive to keep it open?

We need to have a chat room that works with the site. It costs us a few hundred dollars a year to keep it. I feel it is worth it when we have a company rep or an area chat. It is also good on spur of the moment meet me in the chat room now type of chat.

Can a topic be decided before hand?

I can voice experience of places outside this country, but it won't be up to date. I can imagine the loveliness has been preserved but I've not been overseas for over 25 years.

How about areas of this country... AZ, MI, KY, WV, ID for instance?

Personally, I'm interested in insights of the Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire region. What all to take in? What is out there?

How about NY... Where is best to stay for seeing the city and immediate surrounding country? How to best get around securely?

What would we like to learn about?
