Sat night I was driving home from my 50 yr class reunion (gasp!) in the rain when I was pulled over by a State Policeman. I was pretty sure I wasn't speeding because of the darkness and the rain, and luckily I had only had 1 alcoholic beverage 4 1/2 hrs earlier so I knew I could pass a breathometer test. The very polite officer responded to my question of "What'd I do" with "You were driving a little slow and I just wanted to be sure you weren't falling asleep at the wheel".

The 1st time in my life I have ever been pulled over for going too slow. I still have not stopped laughing.

That was so funny! I got pulled over in Louisiana a few years back at night. The kind policeman told me I would have to go faster or I would get bowled over by the truckers. I was going speed limit. I said but I am going speed limit. He told me well you have to go faster or " you'll get bowled over" My mom was with me and she said well if she goes faster than speed limit won't she get a ticket? He said well yeah she might but that is why we have policeman...go figure. We laughed all the way to Boston over this one!!

You know, Kay, "they" say the drunks are in the left lane speeding, while the potheads are in the right lane, going way under the speed limit trying not to get pulled over...

So maybe he didn't initially think you were falling asleep, but took you for a stoner
