I liked the Making Babies post. Makes sense to me.

I enjoy transforming raw acreage into lovely contoured yard. I don’t care to keep fallen leaves off new grass.

I enjoy revamping half century old dwellings into convenient living space. I don’t care to pick up the scraps or sweep up the mess I‘ve made.

I enjoy loading up and timesharing. I hate bringing it all in and putting things away.

I guess I like the fun, but not the fuss when the fun is gone.

I am good at lice and nit picking off the heads of children. I hate doing it, but I do find satisfaction in getting them back in school.
I heard that in Manhattan nit pickers can make up to $200 hour!

There is always headlice upon the return to school in September. While it is not epidemic, we see it in all groups of children: affluent, needy, clean, dirty, etc. Once the heads are clear and the kids get back in school we don't usually have a problem with it until the next autumn.

Oh yes, also, I am good at spelling. I don't know if this skill will ever help me go far, but I have the "speller gene".

Hey, I'm good at that, too! Maybe we can start a company. There used to be one in Brooklyn called The Nit Pickers.

I am very good at mowing my lawn, although I hate to.

Since I enjoyed geometry, I frequently insert geometricals into the pattern of the lawn.

Once, I tried to make it look like Fenway Park with the alternating & reverse pattern of mowing, however, I'm the only one who thought it looked like Fenway.

I amuse myself to no end.

I would've loved to have seen that. It really fascinates me, how they do that, all the different patterns they come up with.

Hey Beags, ever see the commercial where the Bruins guys mess up the field at Fenway???? I laugh my rear off every time I see it.....almost like it's the first time I'd seen it.

If this was a contest-I think you would win HANDS DOWN.

I like this thread. I have thought about it for a few days now. I couldn't come up with anything I am good at yet hate doing.

Then, it hit me...while I was reading the board, calling family and friends, and generally avoiding cleaning my house. I am REALLY good at procrastinating and I hate it. I usually feel very good about completing some necessary task but it takes me forever to get there and it bothers me that I do that.

I'm great at cleaning, I do it all the time but hate it. I drive everyone crazy with my incessant need to be organized and tidy.

I'm a great stay at home Mom. I don't "hate it" but I'd rather be at work where I can talk to "grown-ups" and be appreciated for my accomplishments. So I have compromised and work flex hours.

I completely agree re Jacki - that post made me spit my tea. The rest fits here, too...
