Younger dd is asking for an iPod for Christmas. She currently has an MP3 player that is going belly up. The models she has mentioned wanting are the Classic or the Touch. These seem to be the most expensive models......of course. Anyone have any experience with either of them? Any recommendations, especially where to look to find one "cheaper"?

Hi Luanne, I don't know much about the iPods but my HS students do. I was saying that my 9 year-old wants one for Christmas but that I didn't want to spend $149 for the 8GB one that is always advertised. They suggested a refurbished model. I ended up getting this one. Go to the apple website and type refurbished into the search.

My students said it looks brand new in all the original packaging and has the same warranty. Still a little pricey for my son, but it will be his big present this year.
They had all different types of refurbished models. Just something to consider.
