  • FDA warns against chicken jerky products for pets

My vet told me to stop using them last month since she thought they might be associated with my dog's sensitive tummy, but this sounds more serious:

I have given this to my dog and I think I have some still.

I give them to my dog. BUT they come from Costco. Last time the FDA had a warning about these, I e-mailed Costco and they said the ones sold at Costco are made in the USA and processed to human food-processing standards.

I also give our small dogs the ones from Costco. We have not seen any problems, but will pay more attention to it.

The ones we gave our dog were also made here. But the vet thought they were contributing to her acid stomach. I hesitate to even say this since gawd only knows what she ate off the floor tonight (we do our big meal xmas eve), but she hasn't vomited since we stopped giving them to her...

We have a little dog, so we break off little pieces--we don't give more than a little piece about 1" square at any one time. I don't think she gets more than two treats like that in a day. The Costco-size bag lasts us about six months!
