I've canceled a few trips for 2009 due to DH's work schedule, and haven't re-booked yet. Also, I've got a few different requests in, but not sure if they will come through.

The only plans that are definite so far, are........Disney in Jan., and Paris in June.

Just got back on 1/02 from a week in New Orleans.

1/10-1/17 - St. James Place, Beaver Creek

4/2-4/9 - New York City at Marriott Marquis (using travel Package Certificate)

4/30 - Priceline room at Wyndham New Orleans for Jazz Fest

5/1-5/8 - Hotel de L'Eau Vive in NOLA for Jazz Fest

Summer -- Still open, but we might fly to Madrid, stay at my RHC property, and then spend a couple/few weeks driving around Spain

October 3-6 - Vancouver (Probably using a Priceline room)

October 6-15 - Korea (Staying with my girlfriend's family)

December 26-January 2 - Looking for something fun, but thinking about somewhere in the Caribbean

And once or twice in there - Hawaii whenever airfares fall below $300 r/t. Possibly thanksgiving or sometime in the summer. Also Hawaii as an alternative to Spain.

Then I have to figure out what to do with all of the extra timeshares that I am not using.

Jan 13th - Released (or going anyhow) from Dr. for total shoulder replacement...feeling great - looking for hot tubs and heated pools - for old bones and balding heads.... ?
Jan 14 - 16th - Branson for a $99 getaway ???? wheeee !
Jan 17 - 24th - Branson Palace View- Hot tub and heated pool
Jan 24 - 31st - Silverleaf Hill Country Canyon Lake TX - hot tub and heateed pool
Jan 31 - Feb 7 - Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort
Feb 7 - Feb14 - Sedona Summit
(all of the above with RCI Points Instant Vacation for max on these for 7500 points + that EXCHANGE FEE of $164 per week - $189 after Jan 1 -----
Feb 15 - Feb 22 - ILX Varsity clubs of American Tucson

Family thing DENVER for Feb 23 - March 3 -
Family thing - visit mother March 3 - 4 -5 - might be just one day - she gets soooo tired - just talk on the phone - then Home
June 1 (or so) - Sept 15 (or so) Cabin in Northern MN - currently -8° tonight - around the Ely area - 22 years of great walleye fishing...in the spring and summer !
Fall '09 - would like to get in a 4 - 5 week to the Northeast again or south east ---- That will be an easy sell - wife loves those NE lobsters specials in NH and MA in the fall ------ and these are all drive vacations.......
! Love those RCI Instant vacations - not the top of the Mark - but very accomodating and affordable...!!!!

This schedule is not leaving much time for baling hay or splitting wood - and using my new shoulder bones ???

Recession? What Recession...you all are traveling!

I've got your basic Bass Lake, Ca scheduled for 2009. BUT-it's over 4th of July. I can't wait. Fireworks over the lake..sitting in the boat. Very excited

Other than that, whatever comes in flex that's local and fits the kids schedule. Lucky for me, I live in Calif. So local means lot's of neat places. I'd like to try the Welk Resort..maybe for spring. Got my eye on San Francisco too. We'll see.....

We are tied to school vacations. Also trying to limit airfares.
End of March: Red Wolf at Squaw Valley (I have an exchange into Olympic Village Inn the same week that I need to cancel since Red Wolf confirmed)
mid-June: Grand Pacific Palisades, Carlsbad
end-June: weekend at Hyatt High Sierra Lodge, Lake Tahoe
end of July:Banff Rocky Mountain Resort for a week followed by DH doing 1/2 Ironman in Calgary
mid-August: Family event in Nashville
Thanksgiving: Hyatt Coconut Plantation in Florida
Winter Break:??? either Tahoe or So. Cal, waiting for exchange
