  • Spam mail regarding my Chase Visa

I just received a spam mail regarding an update on my Chase Visa. It is looking for all my personal information. I know this has been discussed in the past. I thought I would post this Because I am not sure if these emails go out, a bunch at a time, or is it a random thing. Beware.

The ones that drive me nuts are the various ones trying to get my ebay or paypal information... I swear I get a dozen of those a week... Now, if I would get a real request from EBAY I doubt I would know it as I just delete them on sight...

Unless they actually mention your real name or account number, you can assume it's phishing.

Even if they use your real name or have information on you do not go through any links provided by such emails. Always go to the bank (or whatever) web site independently and log in from there.

I have a complaint option with my spam software so I always report these to paypal spoof@paypal.com, fraud@fbi.gov, and/or whatever group they represent.....fraud@chase.com....so hopefully they will go close that site down before anyone gets ripped off.

I also report it to my isp as spam.....they still come in but I feel I have to do something.
