I know, but I don't mind too much. Except that I can't figure out how to pack for this trip (especially since I'm sticking to my "carry on only" guns), and I'm sad that it doesn't sound like convertible weather...

If I was going somewhere for the weather, it'd undoubtedly be a different destination. And nothing can be worse than the sub-freezing temps we've suffered here lately.

On a positive note, my guys heading for Tahoe have a huge dump (snow, people) coming their way!

Made me wonder how you were going to get on the plane with your guns, and did you have others that you normally needed to check?

I almost made a comment in my OP, but thought I was already overdoing it in the parenthetical department. The passengers having nothing to fear from me, I didn't even let my kids play with toy guns when they were little (though I was a darn good shot with a .22 when I was a kid until my mother found a recoil bruise on my shoulder, bringing my sharpshooting career to a sudden halt).
