  • Ugh....8 + inches of snow coming our way......

Yikes!!!! Not sure what the weather forecast is for the rest of you guys, but Long Island is getting 8 + inches of snow, starting today, through tomorrow.

I can't take any more winter, or snow. I just can't take it!

Ah, you know I bet mine will, especially since it's a bit late in the season. Gonna really mess with my work day. Though not as bad as my gf who really really needs to make her flight to LA tomorrow.

P.S. Actually, I would prefer the snow as we are fairly dry here...

They just canceled school tomorrow here. I think we've only had one snow day so far, so they had one to use up.

You're lucky. My district will undoubtedly wait until 5:30 am, then speed dial every line in my house, cell included, to make sure we are WIDE awake for the news that there's no school. Must remember to shut all the phones off tonight...

This is a first for our district. Normally we would have calls for about an hour, starting from about 5:30 AM, with the phone ringing and all the cell phones ringing, too, a few times to be sure we got the message for both kids. And the town has already called a couple of times to remind us that cars can't be parked on the street.

We'll still be awake at 5:30 for DH, because he's a teacher in a different district, and they haven't called yet.
