Just to rub it in. We had a beautiful sunny and warm day today and people were sunning in bathing suits on the beach. Water temperature is cold, as usual, but there were surfers in wetsuits surfing and having fun.

We prefer Laguna Beach in the winter when it isn't so busy. There are still quite a few tourists here even in the winter.

To be honest, I miss the snow sometimes but you can't have it all.

We are on the southern edge of all this. Will get less than an hour or so of snow around 1am in the morning. Will have to wait until morning to see if school is delayed - or even called off. We live in a rural area that is a large county school district - so when it is snowing on one side the sun can be shining on the other, but everyone either goes to school or everyone is out.

          I know what I'm doin'

Except now I'll be up past midnight carpooling. Oh, can't call it carpooling since I'm the only parent willing to drive Picking DS up at midnight from his sledding outing at a friend's. UGH.

That's a LOT of snow out there - and NYC Public Schools are closed - that doesn't happen very often!

            It has been 5 years.

            Shaggy, ya got your wish!
            3-6 inches in Atanta!!!

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

They canceled schools here but it doesn't look like it's actively snowing. Which I guess means that I have to go to work. I wonder if it will start snowing again....

Stay warm and safe everyone. We managed to skirt most of the storm this time in eastern PA. Right now it's snowing. But the air temperature is so cold, the snowflakes are falling like those shaped candies you see on cupcakes and cookies. You can perfectly see the shapes of almost every snowflake. It's really pretty!

About 8" of snow here so far - all schools are closed including the one I work for - yay! DH and DS 1 and 2 are all out shoveling. We can't find the key for the electric snow shovel. It must have fallen out and is in the land of the lost. It's been about 3 years since we've had to use it.

We have about 6 inches here so far and still snowing. We've been lucky so far this year. We only had 1 dusting prior to this. For some reason the storms coming up from the south get us pretty big but those that come from north or west seem to skip us. DH cancelled all appt's today so I guess he'll get some paper work done. He loves the snow.
