Bill,
We stayed at Alicia’s Palace in the Upper St. Ann’s district in POS. It was a nice hotel to get away from all the noise with a great nice view of Port of Spain and the Gulf of Paria. The good thing about this place is that there is a free shuttle that takes you back and forth to there sister hotel Alicia’s House which was five minute ride then a 10-15 minute walk to Queens Park Savannah.
We stayed in Room 11. This is the room they have on there web page. I don’t think I would want to stay in any other room there. We had a view of POS and the Gulf of Paria from our room and terrace. No other room has the great views. If anyone is going to this hotel, e-mail first and ask for this room.
This hotel also one of the best free breakfasts I have ever had.

Having the worst head cold I could ever have during Carnival which put a hamper on my activities, it was still a hellava fun. Trinidad Carnival is the greatest street festival in the world - an unforgettable party that should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.
The best way for me to explain Trinidad Carnival is to just go and have a wild time!
Is the World's Greatest Show Trinidad Carnival?
What I once considered boring, I now consider paradise.
