Happy Earth Day.....
Today is Earth Day.....To Celebrate, yesterday, Home Depot was giving out a free 60 watt equivalent, compact fluorescent bulb. It has 10,000 life in hours, and comes with a 9 year warranty. That's a long time for a light bulb to last.

I am all for the earth
but sometimes the CFL just don't work well for all cases.
I have a few of the globe style model that goes into the bathroom fixture. Bathrooms are not a good place for CFL because they are not good for the short burn cycle that is found in the bathroom. Lights are on probably 2-5 minutes in most cases and longer in others, but still not on long.
I have only a few regular lights in my house, most everything else is CFL. The bathrooms will be the last to be converted over to only CFL and that will only happen after the pull the incandecent bulb out of my cold dead hands.Don
