I got a reorder on an offer good to 7/27.

I tried for the free shipping but got a helper who helped me through another elegible offer to obtain the free shipping. In addition to the $60 package, I bought another $25 of hamburgers, to get free shipping.

The order confirmation shows the free shipping but the shipping notification has the shipping charge on it, as does my charge card.

I'm kind of PO'ed and intend to dispute the cc charge.

Not a great deal of money but as I said before it did annoy me as I had gone to some trouble to obtain free shipping and likely would not have ordered without it.

Still, the customer service person handled it well, the explaination she gave was interesting though. She told me on the American Celebration package I ordered I could have had the free gift of 6 Hamburgers and Knife set or free shipping. When I asked why I had to order an additional 25 Hamburgers to obtain free shippinng she told me that should have been on a seperate order.

So, it seems to me they handle customer complaints expeditiously as you suggested. Probably as a result of a flawed front line or overly complicated initial ordering proceedure.

I would say they have to give nothing less than 100% satisfaction. All of this is factored in on the overpayment of most of the items. But since we are all looking for those great deals there profit margin has gone down a bit.

Thanks to Lawren telling about getting the special at the Omaha Steak Store in her area, when I was in Atlanta today, I went to one of the stores there and asked for the price on this special. And.......was promptly given all the items for the online cost. Cool.......but, they were out of potatos augratin and substitued the stuffed baked potatoes. If the stuffed potatoes are as yummy as the augratin, then I am happy happy.

Of course, this might have something to do with the fact that I'm a vegetarian.

I did consider Omaha Steaks as a gift for my carnivorous DH, but I really have no idea what makes one cut of meat worth more than another. They all look the same to me.

From my understanding the original special is about to come to an end. I was told today was the last day. Now I hear it could go on for 2 more weeks.

So far a few of my favorites that I have order are the Whisky marinated steaks these are to die for, Fajita Marinated flat iron steaks, The mediterranean Beef Kabobs are better than the ones I buy in Astoria NY which are tops as these are the ones that the Push carts sell, And BTW The bacon wrapped pork chops are better than the bacon wrapped Fillet Mignon.

I just today received a 1/2 price sale fly-er that I added to an order that I will receive later on.
