I never thought I'd get interested in gardening but I am so happy with my yard and garden. My grass is a gorgeous green. I have 4 beautiful hanging baskets, pansies & geraniums mixed in 2 and impatients & some weird thing in the other two. I've made a hens & chicks pot & a cactus pot. My side garden that my neighbor & Kelli built is planted with all sorts of weird things that haven't come up yet. I forgot to label it so I will call it the mystery garden. My azales are in full bloom. I hate it when they die, they look like wadded up toilet paper. My hostas have gone crazy. I think I probably have the world's largest hosta. My neighbor Betty will show me how to divide and conquer when the time comes.
Have a small plot. Had Leaf Lettuce salad last evening. Beans are up 9”. Tomato and pepper just put in. 6 to 8” Kolrobi, broccoli not doing so good. Radish are all leaves
Been busy this year: Building block walls Widening drive apron and walk with brick. Pruning and fertilizing shubs and trees. Planting more lawn. Installing split rail fencing.

Simply beautiful, Robert. We cannot imagine so many trees on your own property in our neck of the woods. It must be a lot of work to keep it look beautiful all year long but you manage, judging from your lovely pictures. You made the right decision a few years ago. I remember your post about asking us for advice.
... After 2 or 3 years of pathetic pepper crops, last year I did some soil additives and got a bumper crop of peppers from about 20 plants. Half of my big freezer is now full of last year's peppers and blueberries (picked in the wild a few miles away).
Peppers have never done well for me but I keep trying since I like them in salsa and I usually have an abundance of tomatoes (the one thing I will ALWAYS grow, no matter what).
I gave up on corn - the deer eat it, takes too long, takes too much space, and not enuf yield from space.
