Hang in there Pam! I think of you often. Just yesterday when I sat in the hospital waiting room for my hubby to get a check-up from his surgeon, I thought of you. We are fortunate that his cancer was found pretty early and with 2 surgeries and chemo & radiation, and then more chemo, it looks like that after 10 months, we are just on a 6 month check-up plan. I know that 10 months is a long time, but there will be light at the end of this tunnel.

I do think of you often and look for your posts.

Glad to hear that things are going well ~ or as well as can be expected under the circumstances. Keep your sense of humor ~ being able to laugh at ourselves is a rare quality. You're going to beat this, and just think of the stories you'll have to tell!! Take care of yourself ~ and keep us posted. Pray tell though how the heck do you expect to be "normal" ~~ you're Bezerk!!

You are both an inspiration to me. You have both kept your sense of humor and have a great outlook. Keep that up. I understand that the chemo is no picnic, but just think or the end result. I pray for you often.

Thanks Nancy....I am trying..I sure look forward to Normal again but I fear that will be a long time down the road. So guess even 1/2 normal would do...

calgal...Tx.yes the treatments are rougher than anyone expects I think. I am thinking what a shock hubby is in for after not seeing me for a month plus, he says he is prepared...haha....little does he know...you just cannot be prepared for some things ...

happymum...I'm hangin.....I keep telling myself " I can do this"????? Aw shucks...happymum....the nose hair is already gone and yes I definatelyl understand why you said treasure it, another thing most no one tells you

iconncections...I hope you nor anyone I know ever has to experience any of this ever....so please do your health checks at least that gives you early diagnosis, I cannot even fathom late diagnosis...I look forward to this all being behind me and looking back, though many tell me I will be changed forever, but that is okay I can turn that change into a positive, maybe some cancer awareness or advocacy or such...

pittle...great to hear from you...are you still vacationing or home? Your hubby is now on 6 month check up plan that is wonderful...sure beats treatments and surgeries right? I wish you both the best and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I have had some folks asking about Castles and Condos in PV but can't remember what site and well since I really have never viewed I told them to post over here and maybe someone would know, like you Take care.

We are home, but came home two weeks early - our grandson was bored with no kids there. Next year, it will just be adults! I did get a message from a guy about C&C. I also got an email from C&C today that M Hotels is no longer the developer! Glad we have not upgraded yet! We can just wait to see what is going on before investing more $$.

I'm sure that Mike will be glad to see you no matter how you look!!

Yes - my Mike is doing better! He is looking forward to getting his port-a-cath out next month - another milestone!!!

You will continue to stay on my prayer list too!

Pam...It's so good to read your posts - and you're so kind to answer each and every one of us. Thank you for your comment - I think you must be one of, if not THE bravest person here. We never know what we can handle until we're faced with it, and I think handling it with humor is probably a really good distraction. Keep your spirits up - you're doing really well. Hmmm.. that is interesting that "M" is not longer the developer, I had heard some iffy stuff about them, so that may be good anyway. Upgraded...I thought u bought a real snazzy unit anyway, do you really need to upgrade? ( Do not mind me, my memory a tad off lately with the chemo ( chemo brain), so try to remember all the past info but well forget a lot and lazy to go back and find it..LOL . I cannot wait to hear how it is when you go to visit the next time C& C that is....hope all you expect....sounded wonderful!

So happy your Mike is doing way better and yes a huge milestone to have that port-a-cath removed.....(LOL everyone tells me that it is very ugly, worse than my mastectomy incisions.....now come on are thye blind...LOL. I tdoes stick way out on my chest LOL. ) Congrats and best wishes for continued good health to your Mike, congrats!!! Alwaya my prayers are with you both and your family!

Suzie....thanks ..I am not brave though just doing what I have to do and really am a wimp.....least I think I am....as you say just handling what I never thought I could and well may as well make it funny with humor, laughing is good in between the tears You should hear me talk about my lost boobs and also my hair loss....my Mom thinks I am a nut, says you are just the funniest..here is best part..I do not think I am one bit funny..I think I am very dry....

Oh goodness the only thing thta keeps me from thinking about boobs and hair loss and chemo is vacations, so trust me I am dreaming of those vacations constantly..just wait until I can book at least one, I will be so ecstatic I might have a potty accident LOL. I just helped my youngest son book his timeshare for a week and goodness I was in heaven just helping him and I cannot even go and that means my helper is going away as well.... Talk soon....

Keep that great sense of humor. I got a cute email from a friend the other day. It was about a 93 year old lady whose husband had just died and she decided to kill herself. She had his Army pistol and was going to shoot herself but did not want to miss her heart, so she called the doctor to ask just where her heart would be. She was told just below her left breast. Later that day, she was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her knee. (One less thing for you to worry about.)

As for C&C, the guy found my post on TUG and sent a PM. We bought the snazzy Studio with plans to upgrade to the snazzier 1-bedroom, but because the units were not to be completed until now, we thought we would wait until alll were finished. Now they are saying late fall, so glad we have not spent more money. I am sure they will be happy to upgrade once everything is completed. We are going to wait until we know for sure that it is finished.

Did you ever notice when it is fun, time passes quickly , like when on a vacation especially a timeshare vacation....LOL. AND when it is not fun, time passes ever so slowly...like when you are sick or having some kind of treatments or awaiting test results etc.....

I do hope that you are doing OK. I know the chemo is the pits and you feel horrible. Just know that a bunch of us think of you often and say some prayers.
