I'll add to that. My prayers are with you also. Though you are far, you will be near to our hearts. May God guide the surgeon's hands and help him/her make the best treatment choices for you. May He give you strength and courage as you recover and a speedy healing.

I have been praying for you since you shared this with me a few weeks ago. I have been out of town and off the forum getting my mother relocated (you know that story too).

We will continue to pray for a speedy recovery.

My dear TS Forum friends.....I made it thru surgery....despite a few complications.......they found a second hidden tumor in surgery...it had not shown on mammogram, ultrasound etc.......so thus the dr. said he was gald I had made decision to have mastectomy as if not it is possible this could have been missed or I would have gone in expecting lumpectomy and come out with mast.....he also said doing the bilateral is brave but the best option for prevention of recurrence...they did do a sentinal node biopsy with nuclear medicine markings...( almost as bad as surgery painwise mind you...)...anyway one positive node so 3 were removed.....)

2 days after surgery I developed a pnuemothorax resulting in a return to surgery for tube placement for prevention of lung collapse and in 2 days when seemed fine, after waiting 24 hours the lung collapsed.....ugh...the pain.....

Anyway a long eleven days and I came home on May 18th about 5pm.....reconstruction has already been started with skin expanders, a port a cath is in place for chemo....and I made it....on May 22 I returned to Guad to see 3 dr's and well problem with drain so back in compression dressings and a sling to right arm to prevent movement so I am typing lefty, slow and hard LOL... return to dr. in a week.....wonder when the pain will end.....start chemo June 2nd......scary, very scary....

Thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.......after surgery my hubby said I was rambling on and on, about all kinds of people he never heard of, weird names, must be all my cyber friends call names lol.....he even told dr. can't you give her something to calm down....the dr. laughed and said she has been dping that for hours in recovery too......I think she has like a cult of people chanting for her or something LOL....

so I just thought I should let you all know I am alive....and well soon to go into my second half of my battle....oh no radiation necessary, so that is good, just 6 cycles of chemo....haha...did I just say that JUST 6 cycles of chemo...keep me in your prayers and i'll be back posting soon I hope.

Oh cancelled a total of 4 weeks of vacation.......2 were member or ownership timeshares in Mexico, one was at Ixtapa/ Zihua it is on hold till whenever I am ready tyo travel...they were wonderful. The other in Nuevo Vallarta, was able to bank with II. The other 2 weeks were with RCI and they gave me the weeks back and some or all of fees have not had chance to check on that as yet....so anyway was not a financial loss, just an emotional one....

Hubby left saturday for states, has to make money for all this LOL......hope he can get back soon......in the meantime my friends.....please do those self breast exams, mammograms etc.......just a little point to nudge you all....my oncologist surgeon told my hubby if I had waited, this being a moderately aggressive cancer, actually two cancers, it is possible it would have invaded my organs and I could have been looking at 2 months to 2 years life expectancy.....hmmm.....frightening...instead I am looking at well dropped due to 2nd tumor but 70 % plus chance of full recovery with chemo......

I'll be in touch and posting more soon.....but for now I have to buy my lotto tickets...LOL.....I missed you all....hugs

So good to hear from you, you've been through so much, but still find the time to update your friends ~~ WHAT A TROOPER!! I've played the lottery faithfully, but UNLIKE SOME OTHERS (who I won't mention...........), I have tried to save all winnings for you. (Let's see if whining will work once again...........) Will continue to pray for a speedy full recovery. Keep us updated when you can. Take care of yourself............
