Yea, and the new changes that are still coming are even better! When finished, this classified area will make it easy for people to find what they want quickly with a huge amount of data at a users disposal with just a click or two.
I am waiting on a significant update from the developer that will fix a couple bugs (search is a big one) and then you will see some of the new features that are already available. Right now the scripts on the site are about one or two updated behind as I got tired of deleting everything and starting over every day.
The classifieds will allow fixed listings as well as BEST OFFER type sales. Right now (best Offers) are described as an auction but the way it works is better described as a best offer because their is no bid increments. If a person offers $100 and the next offers $1000 the items would sell for $1000! The developer is working on making this an incremental bid system like ebay and that should be out soon.
The main classifed page will be changing and it will look much more like this mockup when done.

From there, we will integrate classified ads into the website so that member classifieds will get seen on the forums. The programing of this script is pretty complicated but luckily we managed to get in while it is still being developed so some of our requirements are gettin built in from the ground. That is much easier then having to later hack the code to get it to work like we need it to.
After the basics get done, I will move to create a mechanism to allow classifieds to be directly linked to the Resorts Database. This will make it so that members will not need to enter all the data or descriptions of the timeshare being sold as it will be available in the database. In addition, the resorts database will also have a link back to search the classifieds for any listings for timeshares from that resort.
The hope with this is that it will tie these two resources together and get more people to use both of them. Then, we will get more reviews in there and we will become an even better resource then what we have become in our first year.Comment
