Please share your reasons for picking a romantic place to spend 2 or 3 successive weeks. What is there about the place?
June 2010 is just a year away and we’ve only now started thinking of what we want to do. Hawaii, Caribbean, Greek Isles perhaps… ???
Where is the greatest for shear laid back romantic togetherness? We don't wish to drive all over the place sight seeing. We want the area to be cosy and somewhat quaint.
We could do 2 weeks Hawaii then fly elsewhere for two more, but Caroll has trouble with sitting on those long trips. Maybe just island hop Kauai and Maui.
How do places of western Mexico compare with Kona, Hawaii? (Of course it has been 17 years since we were on the Big Island.)
We like meandering Old-Spain cities like Cadiz, but then, I think of cobblestone streets and I must remember these are 70 year old legs.
Palms and pool we can get most anywhere. We also want memorable atmosphere and views for this time.
We love the Hawaiian music and lean toward hitting Kauai and Maui… but it’s so many flight hours away, and too, we don’t wish to sit on the porch looking at the sea or mountains. We wish beautiful overlooks, stroling to quaint sidewalk cafes, as well as upscale dining. Where?
How much of that can be found on Maui or Kauai? In Mexico? Even in the US?
Maybe we need to revisit Austria?
Your thoughts please?
