  • A twist on a previous question....

I asked how many of you travel with family and/or friends, and so many of you responded that you and your SO often travel with others, that it adds to the whole experience.

We have some friends, couples, who can never travel alone....they HAVE to have someone to travel with them, whether it is their adult children or some friends...and the reason is because they need these people around them.

For one couple, they always invite at least one adult child because they want a chauffeur.

For one couple, it is because she likes to be active, and he would just as well sit in one spot .... so she brings someone to keep her entertained.

For another couple, it is because they argue unless they have someone with them.

For another couple, it is because they want to travel but they don't like to plan and they want someone else to arrange everything.

For the last couple, it is because they like to drink, and enjoy it more if they have drinking buddies.

Do you know of any couples who simply cannot travel alone?
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

We usually just traveled with our immediately family, alone together, or with one other family who was like family to us.

But we traveled with one other couple a few years ago. Turns out the other couple argues a lot whether they are with other people or not.

Yes, my dear step daughter and her husband seems like they cannot travel anywhere alone. They have 2 children 11 & 9. They go to FLorida every year, always have to take someone. We gave them a week to use 2 years ago and even took my husbands ex-wife and her new husband . on us!!!! Kept it very quiet and never told us until we phoned down to see how everyone was and she answered the phone.

They also have a 29 ft travel trailer and can never go away on their own with just with their kids.

We always extend invitation to friends or family to join us, but if they don't it is not big deal to us at all, we always have a great time with our DD 15. But she is now a teenager and I am sure she would appreciate her own kind with her on vacations, so we have allowed her to bring a friend every weekly vacation starting this year.
