The greatest city in the world, just a few hours from some of the most beautiful beaches/coast and good skiing and countryside
New Yorkers are a special blend. There is something for everyone here.
And I will resist any specific political references, but I'm proud on that front lately, too.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I could start out with some over 10,000 lakes. We have a full four seasons.
The Twin Cities have probably the 2nd or 3rd largest theater/art area.
I could go fishing on a beautiful lake with the sounds of loons in the background in the morning and watch Phantom in the evening.
Some of the most beautiful parks in the country.
Minnesota has the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Nature at it's best.
And a real plus for us in Minnesota, we aren't North Dakota! It's a Mn. thing.Don

1) The simple way of life. There aren't many overtly aggressive, pretentious types here. People here work hard, play harder and tell it like it is. There's something very appealing about the laid back, yet adventurous, wild west ambiance here. I'm not sure there's a restaurant in the state that you can't still walk into wearing Levi's (your nice pair ) and cowboy boots.
2) The scenery. Rugged snow capped peaks, massive wilderness areas, pristine alpine lakes, abundant wildlife and clean air.Jim

Elan, it sounds great, but which state do you live in?
Also, for our non-US members, please tell us about your province, city, area, etc.... !
