There are quite a few TJ's in Arizona, but not in Northern AZ....we have to drive 100 miles to do a TJ shop. And we DO. We keep begging them to open one up north, but they probably never will.

Stay away from the sesame cashews! They are totally addicting.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

Now I'm jealous. I guess the closest thing we have in Miami is Epicure or Norman Brothers Farms. Are there any in Boston or Cape Cod or the Berkshires? I'm headed there this weekend. Maybe I can check them out.

Thanks. I think I'll head there first before I check into the timeshare. I'm already hungry thanks to you guys.

Bring a cooler and then you can get your dairy, fruit and veggies, and frozen stuff there, too. We're talking mostly about dry goods (except for the mochi), but they have good produce and really good dairy.

I love the frozen food aisle.

What is mochi? I lead a sheltered life.

Mochi is a kind of Asian ice-cream treat. The version at Trader Joe's is a small, shaped scoop of ice cream wrapped in a slightly chewy rice wrapper. It sounds strange, but the combo of the soft wrapper with the creamy ice cream is yummy.

The flavors are usually Asian--our TJs has mango and green tea, and other Asian grocery stores by us have red bean and ginger plus vanilla and strawberry. (Not usually chocolate, for some reason.) The whole mochi is quite small...maybe half the size of a woman's palm. So it's a nice little treat. They're hard to resist if you like the textures and flavors...eating a whole TJ's-size box (only about four or five mochi) is not difficult to imagine. Personally I have a lot of family competition, so I've never had more than two at one time.

Do you have H-Marts down by you, Kay? They have them. The ones at TJs are unusually fresh and the flavors are delish!

                    Mango mochi! Yummmmmmm.

Mochi is essentially ice cream as finger food. What a dangerous concept, eh??
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

                    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

Never heard of H-Marts. There is a TJ about 1 hr from me but I hate driving in traffic so I don't go. Wish they would open one near me. I'm starting to get set in my ways . In other words OLD.

Pat went to Trader Joes today in Hyannis. Thanks. Nice store. If you guys are ever in Miami and you like these kinds of places you need to try our Fresh Market. Similar to TJ but more prepared foods. At least we stocked the fridge for this week. Thanks for the hint.

Enjoy your stay at Smuggler's - Try Clancy's Welcome - Clancy's Restaurant of Dennisport for dinner or lunch one day - a beautiful setting on swan river and great food ....I often went with my parents and met joycapecod for lunch there last fall.

Thanks we'll check it out. Smugglers is a cute place. Very different than I imagined but I'm loving the area. Right now there are not alot of people here but the view is spectacular. Last night someone did a fireworks show on the beach and today there are people fishing off the rocks. I'm headed to the social room for free coffee and juice. Excited to be here. Thanks for the suggestion of Clancy's we'll work it into our schedule.

Thanks. Have never seen those brands but will look for them. I've been trying not to eat too much IC because my cholesterol and triglycerides are so good right now that I'm afraid to challenge them. Now if I could just get my arrhythmia under control.
