For dampness. As a matter of fact, I think my MIL already uses this. She asked us to buy a new kind of cat litter for her cat, called something like America's Best Cat Litter? The bag is very very light and the cat litter looks like crystals. Is that the stuff you're talking about, Billy?

We have our basement more or less under control, but we have one upstairs bedroom that smells damp to me and not to anyone else. There's a dehumidifier in there, and we've even had it tested for mold, but apparently it's fine. I'm going to try using the cat litter to get rid of the "imaginary" musty smell.

[QUOTE=SherryS;328967]We use Damp Rid in ou Florida condo during the summer. It's sold in plastic hanging pouches (that you discard, after water fills pouch), or as crystals that you provide the container. I prefer the hanging pouches, as they are so convenient. You can purchase at Walmart.

        This also works for us

-- we use the crystals -- and the 2 plastic containers that come with the "1/2 gal milk carton" size box of crystals as a package.
        hope this info helps,
