Just got tickets for tomorrow's day session at the US Open. It's a lot harder than it used to be to get tickets last minute. I used to be able to scalp them right next to the subway station. I wonder why they don't allow it anymore. That was a great public service those scalpers play.

After today's lunch with Big Frank, we are going to try for some cancellation tickets for Jersey Boys. If it's not available, I'm going for another run in the Park.

More on this cash situation. It turns out I overreacted. What surprised me was that Lombardi's, Carnegie Deli and Peter Luger's all only took cash. Those were the only real outliers of merchants I thought should take credit cards and didn't.

When we went back to TKTS, we were able to pay with a credit card. I guess I was brainwashed by the message board I read about it requiring cash. It must have been an older post I was reading and didn't realize it.

And, the concierge at the Manhattan Club told me that lots of merchants require cash now. In fact, she is the one who put the bug into my ear that something had changed. It came up when I asked her to get me reservations at Peter Luger for dinner and she told me they only take cash.

You may want to try getting tickets to the US open from StubHub. They have tickets now. I have used StubHub many times for Yankee's Tickets, Anaheim Duck's, etc. Below is a link to their US OPen tickets.

You may want to try getting tickets to the US open from StubHub. They have tickets now. I have used StubHub many times for Yankee's Tickets, Anaheim Duck's, etc. Below is a link to their US OPen tickets.

I use stubhub for USC tickets. I tried Stub Hub and eBay and the only reasonable tickets I could find were at the Manhattan Club concierge desk. A couple had tickets for tomorrow's day session that they want to get rid of and I was who they got rid of them to.

I got grounds tickets for $75. Everything on Stub hub is $199 and up.

Thanks ! I do like the Mets - big time ! "Le Grand Orange" was a favorite of mine.
"I support 2 teams, the Red Sox and anyone who beats the Yankees".....

Oh, BTW, Ireland's Call (Garry) and Mrs. Ireland's Call (Marjorie) are now sporting B caps ! (Wonder who made that happen ? )
