  • The Kitchen Triangle

I've bought a couple condos and they've had old refrigerators, they work and I'm not living there so they're not being replaced until they don't work. The incredible thing is, they have obviously been there forever and the doors were on 'backwards' with respect to the classic kitchen work triangle stuff. They'd been that way for ever. These are small 'galley' kitchens and you could not walk anywhere when you had the fridge door open, you were stuck in a corner. Took all of ten minutes to switch them.

Sometimes you may have gasket problems with the switch, or so I have been told. The gasket forms to the old door mounting. Switching it changes the gasket seal so it may not work as well. Since you are not using the fridges, and I am guessing not paying for the electricity, it won't affect you.

Good point, I'll watch it. Although I don't get an electric bill, I am 'paying' for electricity and every good condo owner in a schema like this should try to conserve.
