Several fires are raging in the Los Angeles area for several days already. It's been very hot and dry which doesn't help but no wind so far. They are expecting the winds to pick up later today and that would be dangerous. We have lost two firemen already.
One of the fires is getting close to Mount Wilson where all our TV and radio stations antennas are so we may lose communication. This is what I heard on the radio this morning. So far, so good.
This morning, when I went outside, it smelled of fire and we live quite far away from where it is. I just went outside again and no longer smell the fires because the sea breeze is back again.
