This report claims 1 in 8 have it and... Well, you may do better to read it all for yourself.

I read this article too, and now I must book lots of trips too! We also need to take lots of photos, so we can admire those people lounging on the beach or smiling from the hilltops, as we say, "Who are those happy people?"

It is a very scary thought that could be in store for any one of us.

Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia,

My mother just passed away with it and it is horrible. As one said when she died, it is like loosing them twice, once with dementia and again when they pass away. It was not good, when they don't know who you are, but the good thing is that you know who they are and who they were before dementia rob them of their memories. God bless them and their caregivers.

        Eric,

My parents had horrible deaths due to terrible internal cancers, but they always knew us.

I can't know what she or you went through.
        Condolences on your loss.
