It should be marked with the maker and pattern. Or at the very least the maker.
You should be able to check with the maker ie Gorham...Lawren

I think ebay would be better than selling it for the silver alone. There are collectors for many of these patterns.
I have sterling gorham napkin rings that regularly go for $150 each on ebay....
check the completed auctions for an idea of what it will fetch if you sell the set.
