    I, too, joined the Bone Marrow National Registry several years ago. A simple blood test is all that's required to type you and get you into the registry.
    My 1st cousin was diagnosed with CML (chronic myelegous leukemia) a few years ago. He is doing great on the drug Glevac but the only cure for leukemia is a bone marrow transplant. He has 2 brothers. They are the exact match for each other, but none is a match for him. They have not tried to match him with any other family member yet, but I hope one of his 30 first cousins will match him when the time comes.
