  • Darn - can't find the thread

Earlier this week, I read a thread written by a TS4MS member who had traveled with her husband to Yellowstone Park and they had worked at the park for about 2 months. She included a link to about a dozen albums of spectacular annotated photos she and her husband had put together - wonderful views of geysers, wildlife, mineral deposits, hot springs, thermal cones etc.

I went to review her message again this evening after sharing the experience one of my friends who retired recently and travels with her husband all over the country in their motorhome. They enjoy the National Parks and spectacular scenery in all parts of the continent. She was very interested in the experiences the OP had and the opportunity to work for a few months in a park. Several times during recent trips park personnel told them that there were opportunities available, but she was excited to hear about someone who had actually done a tour.

SO... I can't seem to find the thread - I'm sure it was here and not on TUG although I've searched both with many combinations of words. I would really appreciate any help you can give me in finding that thread - I think it was fairly recent - at least I hadn't encountered it before this week.

Thank you for any time you are able to contribute to helping me find this 'lost treasure' ..... Noelle

In the site search field try putting in Yellowstone. Be sure you are searching the entire site and not just the single forum.

      Thanks

BigFrank, Thank you for the suggestion - tried search again just to be sure and still can't find that thread. I'm so sure it was on TS4MS.

Will my face be red if I was on a different message board when I find it !

I don' recall a post like that but I do miss an occasional few.
Is it possible it was in the resort database as a review?

              Noelle,
Are you *sure* it wasn't TUG? Seems like a year or two ago Doug Wilson (MakaiGuy) did such a work/stay trip. You might want to check a post of his to find the link.

Oh, well, I did the work for you. It was 2003, and here's the link to Doug and Sherry Wilson's Yellowstone Pages & Photos:

WOW - this is it - Thank You Fern and BigFrank - you are the best

Fern, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You - that is the site indeed! I am so grateful to you for taking your own time to search for this.

To your question about am I 'sure' I didn't see this on TUG? - well, 'sure' is a word I really need to expunge from my vocabulary - I'm 10 years from retirement in age and overdue in mental capacities!! The mental file drawers are full and stuff is dropping on the floor.
