    Do you see the motorcycle?

    Now do you see it?

The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle.

The riders reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them.

The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road SafetyDepartment.

Wake up people. Stop talking on Cell phones and Texting while trying to drive.
Put your Cell phone in the back seat !!!

Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be new drivers, or new motorcycle owners AND ESPECIALLY EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAS A CELL PHONE!!!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks for getting the pictures to show. Horrible sight...and I wonder if any were killed.

I agree...I see too many talking on their cells and/or texting. Wish there was a law against it in Florida...and every other state.

Here is the very graphic PSA made in Wales about texting while driving.

It was all over the Internet and IS VERY GRAPHIC.

Ok, first off,why was the motorcycle doing 85 mph?!? That had to be a minimum of 30 mph over the limit (given the description of the car being on a "side street" and pulling out in front of it).

Secondly, how does anyone know what role a cell phone may or may not have had in this horrible accident?

Seems to me the main cause of the tragedy was the excessive speed.

Sorry, this just doesn't pass my "urban legend filter". Perhaps a link to an official news story might help a bit?

I attempted to find a news report to no avail.
Several blogs refer to this as Swedish Police and Road Safety Department taking the car and cycle apart and reassembling all for a Motorcycle Fair exhibit.

My aunt and uncle were just involved in a similar accident only, as far as I know, no cell phone was involved and he wasn't on a crotch rocket going 85 mph.

He figured he was the most defensive motorcycle driver in the world and did everything right. Still, a car pulled out in front of them at the last minute and that was it. He's doing OK but my aunt may still need surgery on her back.

I always tried to impress upon both our kids that no matter how great of a driver you might think you are. It only takes one moment of someone's attention being distracted to cause an accident.

Cell phones are a bad thing when driving. Texting while driving is just unbelievable but I can see people with their heads down in the car all the time (I assume their texting). People won't stop until all cars are equiped with something to block the signal. Laws aren't going to cut it when you can watch police officers using their own cell phones in their cars while they're driving as well. I don't car how well trained they might say they are. Everyone who goes to the class won't pay attention in the class.
