  • Which Movie?

Invictus, Up in the Air, Sherlock Holmes or Leap Year? Going to the Movies over the weekend but can't decided what to see. Has anyone seen any of these movies? What do you think?

Only one of those I've seen is "Up in the Air". Both dh and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dd and her bf saw "Sherlock Holmes" and said it was wonderful. That may be the next one we go to see.

I saw Sherlock Holmes and Robert Downey Jr. is at his peak of dreaminess. Jude Law also looks very lovely. It's an action movie, and I like to see those on a big screen. It's good!

I guess maybe you have to like Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. Personally, I'll take George Clooney over both of them any day.

Speaking as a guy who enjoys upbeat movies with a great storyline, I found the Up In The Air story very sad if not depressing. If that was the emotion they were trying to evoke from me, they succeeded royally. My dw was more middle-of-the-road with her opinion. In all fairness, I had no idea what the movie was going to be about...zilch, so I didn't go with any great preconceived expectations. A neighbor told me '2012' was going to be the movie of the year. He apparently believed the previews. Some good special effects, but that was about it. I almost went to see Sherlock today, but it's been sold out or packed for many of the showings. I like heaing all your opinions out there!
