  • I am in love with this book - The Art of Racing in the Rain

A doglover's delight, for sure. I am only 6 chapters in but was sorry I had to put it down today. Written (very well, imho) from a dog's point of view. I laughed out loud a few times - I never do that reading a novel!

Warning: I had a hard time with the first chapter - it's kind of like Water For Elephants - starts when the dog is old (and somewhat infirm), but then restarts from his early life as he reflects back on it.

Remember, I'm only 6 chapters in. About to pick it up again...

Thanks! I'm looking for a good book to read. I'll give it a try.

My bookclub read it several months ago. Everyone liked it. I"ll warn you it gets rather somber later and kinda sappy but it is one of the better books to come out in recent years.

Just read Cutting for Stone.....eehhh...not one of my favorites this year.
