  • "Glee" tonight

For those who might have forgotten, tonight is the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" episode on "Glee". Since I finally watched "Rocky Horror" I am now prepared.

Hooray! Now watch it a few more times before tonight's airing.

Cablevision's negotiations with Fox broke down over a week ago so most of Long Island is without Glee

I will have to wait to watch it in the city tomorrow

Unless I find a Gleek bar showing it on a big screen somewhere, unfortch less likely out here than in the city.

Cablevision may force me into a satellite dish, though I never in a million years could have predicted it would be over FOX, of all things

I always told my son how much fun we had going to the show and participating. About 2 years ago, he (now 37) was visiting me in FL, and we rented it to watch together. After about 20 minutes, he put it on pause, and said "mom, you had really good drugs back then, huh?"
He just did not see how it could have been a big deal in it's day....

Thanks, I think once was enough.

I have to say, excellent show! (Here in CT we also get the Harford area Fox station.)

Yes, I thought it was a really good episode! Of course, I love any episode of Glee that isn't a Very Special Episode featuring Weeping.

Dish Network has lost FX and many of the Fox sports channels (not that it affects me in any way-Minn has Twins and Vikings so they don't have sports teams), but they may also loose the local Fox station which means loosing Glee. Contract ends Oct 31, so I will find out Nov 1 if we have Fox or not.

Ok, finally saw it. Maybe a case of too much hype, but I was underwhelmed (though the performances were impeccable, as always). They did a decent job of explaining why the Glee version had to be watered down, but I found some of the lyric substitutions annoying and the way they used Mercedes as Frank N Furter seemed more copout than clever...

Other casting seemed great, though, and Sam really is a Rocky double!

Just curious, who do you think could have/should have played Frank N Furter? I don't think Kevin would have been right either.

I liked using Mercedes--thought it was a clever reinvention.

I liked them using Mercedes as well. As I said, I'm not sure who else they would have used.

I really enjoyed it. She had the voice to pull it off.

I am not sure about Kevin's voice. But to be true(r) to the original, the part would have been played by a male. Finn probably could have done it. I think Mercedes sounded great, but she could have done it in a lower range.

                            Emma certainly broke out!

I was also impressed by Kurt. Talk about moving to the lower range! And I don't see Finn as Frank N Furter. Maybe Puck (who wasn't even there)?
