Oh, I loved him. I read his "autobiography" a few years back. He was so adorable as Columbo, so perfect for that part. We watch old Columbo episodes when we're feeling down.

Awful. He was a good actor but a terrible writer. I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but geeeeeeez.

Loved him in Columbo. The way he pulled it all together, with his bumbling style, the perp never knew what hit him.

My favorite is the one with Ruth Gordon as the mystery writer. She murders her niece's husband b/c the niece's husband murdered the niece (long before the start of the episode).

Columbo is one of my all time favorite TV characters. RIP Mr. Falk.
