I reccently finished The Art if Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein and The Girl Who Played with The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larrson and am now reading the nine Women's Muder Club book series by James Patterson.

As if you can't tell I like to read in sequential order.

I've been plowing through Tony Hillerman's mysteries. Read the first three with Joe Leaphorn and the second three with Jim Chee (I like Leaphorn better but Chee makes me laugh more), the rest are the "Leaphorn and Chee" mysteries, have to see how that works out.

I have become addicted to my Kindle and am reading things that strike my whim! The beauty of the Kindle is to have many different books/genre at your fingertips.
I download mostly free books from amazon.com thru a few different websites.
PixelOfInk and ereaderNewsToday are two goOd ones and can also be found on facebook.

Recently I have read "Life's A Beach" Claire Cook - summer romantic fluff
        A World I Never Made - James LePore - international intrigue/adventure.
A Thousand Sisters : My journey into the worst place on earth to be a woman. Lisa Shannon - non-fiction Abuse/rape/mutilation of woman in Congo.

I think I will read a bit lighter fare next - Life, Love and a Polar Bear Tattoo by Heather Wardell

Did I say I LOVE my Kindle

The Likeness by French. She wrote Into the Woods and received tons of awards; I think this one is even better.
