Great new band - Birds of Chicago

We had the unexpected pleasure of accidentally wandering into their NY show downtown on Friday evening. I figured I'd give them one song, we stayed for the whole show. Not a bad performance in the lot. A couple of mellower tunes, but most lively and all beautiful. My favorite is not listed under Listen, but there are some really good ones there. They managed to fundraise the $ to make the first CD, and it is VERY well produced.

Most tour dates look to be in CA, but they have some shows back home in Chicago. The guitarist mentioned that they're coming back to NYC on 10/30, but it's not listed on the site and I'm not sure where they're playing. I'll post if I find out.

Definitely not Chicago. Byrds is a stretch but you only gave me two choices. I like the CD so much I missed my exit on my way to work this morning, and it's a drive I do practically on autopilot!
