  • Ringo Starr and the All Star Band - awesome!

Saw this concert tonight and it was wonderful! It was at Westbury (no seat more than 60 feet from the stage) and we were in the 5th row. Ringo was having a ball. The band this year consisted of Sheila E, Billy Squire, Richard Marx, Edgar Winter, Rod Argent of the Zombies and bass player Hamish Stewart. They played for 2 1/2 hrs. and it was just great! They are still on Long Island for one more show on Sat. and go to Radio City next week. If you get the chance to see it, do!

Good line up! I saw the listing but we are away.. oh well, maybe next time. Glad you got to go!! That is a great venue that suffers from usually being too small to attract great acts. But every now and then...

Wish I knew about that line up before. Tonight would have been a perfect night to go see them as it was a bit dead around here with out lights.

I saw the show in Boca Raton last Saturday night and it was great! It was at a small outdoor amphitheater and, like Westbury, all the seats were very close to the stage. After the first 1 1/4 hours it started pouring rain - we were prepared with ponchos and enjoyed the rest of the concert but got soaked. Surprisingly, most people stayed through the rain - and I think everyone just had fun in the rain enjoying all these all-stars. Besides Ringo - I really liked Sheila E - her rendition of Glamorous Life was very powerful. My fiance loved Richard Marx. Great show - if you have the chance - don't miss it!

Glad you enjoyed the show. I missed this listing, and have plans to see the LI Ducks, with my DH boss, Saturday night.....too bad.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Angela, I made a mistake. It's tomorrow night, the 14th, that they will be at Westbury.
Ringo sang a song he wrote as a tribute to George Harrison. It was called Never Without You. I was WEEPING by the end of it. I loved George, and I thought it was so beautiful.
