"A Few Dollars More" is my favorite spaghetti westerns. I loved the continuity with the musical theme and symbolism of the watch. The final plot reveal is nicely done as well. I know that "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" is actually a tighter piece of filmmaking, but "A Few Dollars More" always had more gut level impact.
In any case the whole series is shows that a big budget often gets in the way of making a good movie. Explosions, special effects, and the like have their place. but there is always a place for a simple but well done effort. I like how the tension in the final scene is built simply by a long sequence of cut shots building the action. The cinematic equivalent of the simple three chord progression.
