  • Star Wars - A New Hope. In case you missed it when it first came out.

I thought this was incredible - better than the original. Stitched contributions from what must be hundreds of contributors from around the globe. Just packed with little gems that you miss if you don't pay attention. Like Moe tending the bar in Mos Eisley. Jabba the Hutt portrayed by nine-month pregnant woman. The "Teamwork" poster in the screen grab. Yellow Submarine substituted for the Millennium Falcon, with the Nowhere Man as a wookie and John Lennon as Han Solo. C3PO as a Pez, dropping candies as whenever he opens his mouth. Legos. Claymation. Harrison Ford dissing on snakes in the garbage tank under the jail. Darth Vader vs. Obi-Wan as the Seventh Seal chess match!!! Overwhelming tackiness.

Sheer brilliance, I say. You're either going to love it or hate it - I can't see a middle ground.

And then somebody added Spanish subtitling. Its probably around somewhere without the subtitles. if you want to hunt for it.

“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

More info about this from starwarsuncut.com. You can also view the movie there without the Spanish subtitles.

The Star Wars Uncut Original Story

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
In 2009, Casey Pugh asked Internet users to remake Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. In a few months time, thousands of fans responded with extraordinary creativity from around the world.
Star Wars Uncut has been featured in documentaries, news features and conferences around the world for its unique appeal. In 2010 we won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media. Finally, the crowd-sourced project has been stitched together and put online for your streaming pleasure. The "Director's Cut" is a feature-length film that contains hand-picked scenes from the entire StarWarsUncut.com collection.

Many thanks to Aaron Valdez (video editor) and Bryan Pugh (sound design/mixing) for the countless hours they put into this masterpiece. We can't thank everyone enough for making this such a special project.

The scene splices are outrageously funny.
I need some time to watch more.
