Looking for assitance with a compilation

Just about done now. I assembled everything into nine playlists - each filling one CD when expanded to audio size (i.e., about 70 to 80 minutes in each compilation).

I'll not make it available as I initially proposed. Instead, I'll post each playlist, and as I have time, I'll include hyperlinks to music track samples available at licensed sites.

Again, thanks to everyone for your suggestions. Almost all suggestions made by people, if not used directly, led me down a path towards other artists in that genre. I wanted to get to some more obscure artists, and those suggestions helped me pull out some less well known stuff. E.g., following up on Etta James got me to Ruth Brown and Bettye LeVette. Also, some suggestions caused me to reconsider some artists I had previously planned on omitting.

In the end, it wound up with a satisfying (for me) mix of jazz, blues, gospel and folk/country, with a touch of rock (with a good dollop of material that defies easy categorizing). Also a good blend of old school and new stuff.

And there was more pre-1950 stuff that I bumped to get back below 700 meg.
