I love this cat fight. I think that Rosie O'Donnell has been allowed to spout off unchallenged for far too long. Hopefully, Trump will force her to think twice before opening her mouth. I totally agree with Trump that she was a lot more timid the next day when she knew that Trump was coming after her.
We need to hold these celebrity comedians accountable for what they say. Trump is doing it. I hope this will set a trend of counter attacking these clowns. -

I've heard this a few times, but I don't understand the linkage between Miss USA, Rosie O'donnell and the Apprentice. Why would I be more likely to watch the Apprentice because of this publicity? If anything, I'll be more likely to watch the View to find out what is going on there. I've never considered watching it before. I believe the following to be true:
1) Donald Trump is a master promoted and marketer. Everything he does enhances and strengthens the Trump brand. It is one of the premier brands for everything luxury and "the best". Personally, I am a value person, so I don't own anything Trump. But, lots of people seem to like it.
2) Trump seriously considered the Miss USA situation from all points of view as it impacts the Trump brand. He was likely to win greater publicity for Miss USA whether or not he gave Tara Conner a second chance. He wins either way and there would be supporters and critics of his decision no matter what he decided.
3) I believe he made the decision based on what he said he made the decision on. I believe he was simply moved by his meeting with her and he decided to give her a second chance. Why does there have to be a hidden agenda? Even rich tycoons have hearts....sometimes. I'll bet that she gave him those puppy dog eyes and said that she was sorry in a very endearing way. Trump liked how that felt, so he gave her a second chance. This, I believe, is the highest probability reason for the decision. For you guys out there, how many of you would do the same thing if someone like Tara Conner begged for forgiveness from you? Most would do the exact same thing.
4) Rosie O'donnell has a serious problem with Donald Trump. They are diametrically opposites from each other. She attacked Trump because she seriously hates him and felt a need to take pot shots at him for what he did. Rosie doesn't like beauty pageants and she probably would be happier if they were all cancelled. Her comments stem from anger at people like Donald Trump and any establishments that support beauty pageants.
5) Donald Trump attacked Rosie because he has a philosophy of striking back at people who attack him. I saw a great interview with Donald Trump on the Donny Deutsch show. He said there that his philosophy is that if someone comes after him that he goes after them twice as hard. I guess that does a great job and making people think twice before attacking him. The USA could learn something from this principle.
6) I just heard Miss Nevada on tv making a statement about her situation and apologizing for it. It was a very good statement. However, she will not be reinstated. Her attorney basically suggested that there may be legal action if she doesn't get a second chance. That whole concept is flawed from the start. To win over Trump, you need to give him puppy dog eyes, not threaten him with attorneys. He eats them for lunch. She just killed any chance she might have had for reinstatement. She should have done this without an attorney.Comment

LOL Somehow I just can't picture Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Oprah, etc. getting into a Jr. High school tear with Rosie O'Donnell that even included a hissy fit complete with appearance and tush size brought into it. LOL just too funny! But if that happened it would be the twightlight zone .

Frank, thanks for posting this as I was curious. We just got off the QM2 and playing 3 card poker someone at the table mentioned that they had seen this on CNN in their cabin. The consensus at the table was that Rosie is rude and crude and they hope she gets smacked down. I, personally, stopped watching The View after seeing her a couple of times. People at the table didn't necessarily like The Donald but did admire his business acumen. I saw him at David Copperfield at The Kravitz with his now wife and he was very friendly and pleasant (not going up to people but just smiling and saying Hi if people spoke to him). LindaComment
